iPhone 6 Review

I recently got a new contract, and decided to hop along the iOS train. I never thought this would happen, EVER. I've been a very strong Android, particularly Samsung, lover. However when I got my MacBook, I realised just how hard it is to transfer things from my phone to my computer. (Believe me when I say I have at least 100 emails from myself to myself!) So when I was given the option to upgrade to either the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or the iPhone 6, I really had to sit down and think it over. I am a die hard tech lover, and so I spent endless hours tossing them both up, deciding which one was best, but also which one would be better for me. In the end, the iPhone won me over. I've had it for a good while now, and thought a review would be in order.

First things first (I'm the realest ;-)), it's so freaking simple. This phone is simple, but you must have owned an apple device in the past. It's virtually a small iPad, which I kinda love. I find that the layout is a lot easier on the iPhone, it's laid out in a way that you can do everything you wish to - as long as you have memory that is - but you can call contacts very easily.

When I received it, the first thing I realised was how easy it is to hold. I had the Samsung Galaxy S4, and sometimes it was a bit awkward to hold, but with the metal back, I find it easier to hold, and nicer! I also liked how similar the buttons where to my old phone, I didn't have to try and search around the phone to try and find ports or volume buttons. The "Silent" button on the left side is a time saver. Before I would have to mess about trying to get my phone on silent, but this is just a simple switch. I am also very happy that they moved the lock button onto the side, it's right where my thumb lays and was a good decision for Apple.

The thumb-print sensor on the home button, I find kind of pointless. I usually just type in my number lock, and as I don't really download many apps, I don't use it that often. However, when I do use it, I like how much safer I feel. People cannot see the number lock on my phone, so they cannot access it, and nor do they know my iTunes password.

I love the screen quality. It's very clear and makes everything really bright and find the screen resolution to be a lot higher than I expected.

The main thing I love about this phone though, is that I can so easily transfer everything quickly between my Mac and it. I can also FaceTime my family, I used to do it very often on my iPad, but with the iPhone, it's so much easier, and lighter, and doesn't ache your arm!!!

I didn't find the battery to be any better nor worse than my old phone. I'm pretty used to trying not to use it, to conserve battery life. I do hate though, when it's at 20%, and the little red bar comes onto the screen. It really irritates me.

One thing I really wish the iPhone could have, would be a back button. I hate going to the top corner and pressing 'x'. Many times on Twitter or Facebook, have I tried to press the right side to the Home Button, wanting to get off the picture or video. It's just time consuming, and annoying.

Two things that really annoy me with the iPhone were the colours. They were very limited, and I might be the only one, but I hate the gold one. I also already have an iPad Air in Space Grey, so I felt the only colour I could really have was the 'Silver'. It's nice, but it's more the colour you choose if you know you are going to have a case on. The other thing that ticked me off, was that Apple seem to have abandoned the 32GB option. You either choose the 16GB, 64GB or 128GB. I think this is crap, especially when the price difference is so high between the 16 and 64GB. 32GB is the perfect size to know that you always have extra space when needed. I got the 16GB as I felt that 64GB might have been a bit too much, and also because it was sooo expensive!! My package is bad enough!

Overall, I am happy I got the phone. I love it and would recommend it. But when I see people out with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, I do regret not choosing it. I think it mostly depends on what type of person you are. You are either an Apple fan, or Android! This choice is getting harder to choose as time goes on, and both advance so much, but it is a choice only you can make. So what do you think you are Android or iOS? Recommendations

Although I am only 16 (Very nearly 17!), I have some great recommendations for people! My family have pretty good taste in films, and music, and I was able to experience it all growing up! If you are looking for some new material I am here to provide for you! If not, sorry ;-)

Let's kick it off with some old films! If you have yet to watch any of these below, I would recommend leaving this webpage as soon as possible and watching them!

Mrs Doubtfire - If you have not watched this, you must have been deprived as a child. This was and still is my childhood favourite film. It has the late Robin Williams, and is B.R.I.L.L.I.A.N.T! It's such a light comedy, and with Robin no longer with us, it means so much more to me! Whenever it is on, I cannot help but watch it - The best!

Sister Act 1 & 2 - Same with these films, Whoopi Goldberg is just incredible and I can't help but sing along! It too is a comedy, but mixed with lots of singing and 90's style! I'm a huge fan of the movies, but not a fan of the clothes! Especially the huge jeans, the disgusting patterned jumpers and the full denim dungarees!

Space Jam - A fantastic film for children who know Looney Tunes! Also has Michael Jordan in, I mean, it's perfect. Quite hard to find, but is normally on TV over holiday breaks!

The Lizzie McGuire Movie - Okay, this one is more for the younger ones! It's brilliant, however I would recommend watching the programme before watching the film or else it could get a little confusing! But watching this made me ecstatic when I went to Italy. All the girls believed we were going to be like Lizzie while roaming around Rome, aha. It was pretty funny to be honest!

Hook - Another Robin Williams film, but genuinely prefer this to Peter Pan! I think it has a great cast, and I dunno, it's just amazing, yeah, go and watch it now!

Look Who's Talking/Look Who's Talking Too/Look Who's Talking Now - Trilogy following a family where the children and then dogs talk giving a very funny commentary to their otherwise normal life!

How I feel when Jasmine annoys me!

Beethoven & Beethoven 2nd - A lovely 'two-part' film all about a Saint Bernard and his new family, and the trouble they get in. Highly recommend if you love little puppies, or have dealt with such big dogs! It will have you cry laughing!

Parent Trap - Now, I'm talking the Lindsay Lohan one! Aka, the best one! I have to say, it really made me want to go to Summer camp in America and see if I had a long lost twin ;-)!

If you want anymore, I would suggest looking at this list. It is a quiz, but makes a perfect list of some good ol' classics: 90's Kids

Here are some of my more recent recommendations:

Maze Runner - I watched this by accident tbh, aha. I was just looking for a good film to watch, and accidently clicked on this film. I loved it though, I wasn't sure what to expect as I haven't read the books, nor had I read the description, but it was amazing. It made me want to read the books aswell (which I happened to purchase at the weekend)!

Guardians of the Galaxy - I know it's not really a recent one, but I really liked it. I have to say Groot was my favourite character, even though he only had one line throughout! I loved the soundtrack, there were some great songs! But, ultimately, Chris Pratt <3!

Although I love watching a film, I would much happier sit down and watch a TV programme! Here's some of my favourites:

Miranda - I don't think you know of this programme if you are out of the UK, but it's a very funny Sitcom written by and starring the wonderous Miranda Hart. It has now finished, on it's 3rd Series, and I couldn't be more devastated. It's the perfect little comedy, and always used to make my Mondays!

Mrs Browns Boys - Again, I think this is more of a British programme, but if you can watch it, I highly advise you to. It is the more witty comedy than other programmes, but is excellent!

Excuse the language!

Modern Family - Pretty sure everyone knows of this programme? Hilarious, and really really easy to get into and attached! It's only 30 minutes, but somehow they pack in a huge storyline! Just brilliant, completely and utterly brilliant.

Mike & Molly - Melissa McCarthy. <- Need I say more?! It is a programme featuring one of my ultimate actresses? What more could a girl want? Kinda similar to Modern Family, but is more for the more mature :-) but yeah, highly recommend!

Bones - Got into this because of my old science teacher, who once showed us the pilot, and since then have watched all 9 other seasons, and currently on season 10. I love the storylines, they are awesome, and really made me want to be an anthropologist!

Finally, Grey's Anatomy - Obviously. This is my recent favourite and the one I am more attached to. Just.... Please go and watch just one episode, and if you are intrigued by it, carry on, it's definitely a programme we should all watch at some point in our lives, and is one that will hopefully carry on for a few more years to come!

"Sexual Sorbet? HA" - Drunk Bailey, ladies and gents!

My life has changed...

I have had birds for most of my life. I think I was around 9 when we got our first bird. Since then, we have had lot's of different birds needing different types of attention, training and love. I feel like since having the birds, there has been a big change in my life.

Although we never really used to go on holiday, we no longer can. There are not many Bird Day Cares around, which makes it hard for us to even consider holidays. Up until the past year, I wasn't as involved in putting the birds in and out, but because of family issues, me and my sister have had to step up. During this time, I was unfortunately going through my GCSE exams, so it was a pretty rough period for me. This meant that I had to put the birds in and out everyday, fortunately I was on study leave for some of it, whilst trying to revise and de-stress. Basically, it wasn't the best time. Looking back at it now, I am happy it all happened though. I feel like I got to spend more time with the birds and just re connect with them.

Since we have taken over, we quickly realised that 25 birds was not a sustainable number considering we were both still 'in school'. So in a matter of 2 months, we had managed to downsize from 25 to 10. It was a very sad moment having to say goodbye to them all, as most we had had from young, or spent lots of time with.

Having 10 birds, meant that we could build new bigger avaries for them. This was my mums task during summer through to November. We have quite a long garden, and most of the space was the birds, with a length of grass for the dog. Now, we have put stones over 1/2 the garden, as it's easier to clean and looks better than tatty grass, with 10 avaries built over. To be honest, it is exactly what we all wanted. It looks much better than it did a year ago, and is much easier to manage.

A down side to having birds is that you cannot lay in! During the week days when my sister is a school, the birds are put out around 7:15, unless it is too cold. Then they are left till 8 when it has warmed up a little, and I put them out. Then at night, we try to put them in around 7 in the winter, as it is dark and cold, and we don't want the birds out in them conditions. These times normally change during summer as we get more daylight.

Having birds is not easy, it is very hard work. We try to dedicate every Saturday or Sunday morning to cleaning out the birds and giving them some time out on the patio (It's too cold to give them baths at the minute). Please if you are looking into buying a Bird of Prey, realise that they are not pets. They can still act like wild animals and do bite.

Though all these things are cons to the birds. I have to say there are lots of pros.

They are stunning. I personally think all Birds of Prey are stunning creatures, they just amaze me with everything they do. I adore when they are flying, especially the Barn Owls because they have silent flight.

They are very loving. If you give your love to them, they will give it back. They do need to know who is Boss, but they will quickly accept you as the higher rank as long as you do not show fear.

10 Years

Recently, I've been watching a lot of YouTube, as you may have read on my previous post! And the newest trend is '10 Years'. It's basically you talking about what you want to happen in the next 10 years, and I thought it would make for a good thing to post.

If you don't know me, then you won't know that I'm not very good at making decisions! For example, I couldn't tell you what we should listen to, what food to get, what movie is my favourite. I have so many answers and I can not ever make a proper decision, which seems to annoy quite a few of my friends 😂. This makes even thinking about the next ten years, a heavy task. There is so much I want to do before I reach 27, that it's hard to comprehend what will happen.

I know one thing for certain, I definitely want to be happy. Sure life will give you ups and downs, it's not easy, but I want to in general be happy with where I am, who is in my life and where I am headed. I've always planned on having children. I adore children, although after having Bear from 3 weeks, it has put me off having children for a little while :-P (Btw, my mum is thrilled about this! She doesn't want to be a Nanny yet!!) Recently, I was talking about all this with my friend, and we were discussing how many children, and with that I have no idea, more than 1 is definite, but it all depends on what lays ahead. Just pause from reading this, and properly think, how many children do you see yourself having? How many can you see yourself out with, playing and supporting? It's hard. I'm only 16, nearly 17, for goodness sake! But children is a must really!

Another thing, is that I see myself with some birds. I've been brought up around them that it'd be weird not having them! Well, pets in general. I cannot see myself without a dog or a bird. Is that weird? Guess, I'd better be with an animal lover ;-). I guess, you don't really know what it's like unless you've grown up with a dog, but it's awesome and I want my kids to be able to experience that. I have it all mapped out, I would like to have a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and possibly another dog, with at least a Barn Owl. I love Nova's, they are a gorgeous breed and are the perfect size. Also in love with Barn Owls, they are gorgeous and very loving.

I am also very unsure with what occupation I see myself in! There are so many options that I just cannot choose! I don't believe that at the age of 16, we are able to actually choose what we want in the future. I have very eccentric ideas from all the programmes I've been watching :-/. My new occupation idea is to be either a Orthopeadic Surgeon or Pediatric. Thanks Callie and Arizona ;-)!I also very much wanted to be a anthropologist because of Temperance Brennan! Oh and also do Angela's job! I love how much technology she has, the only problem is that I cannot draw to save my life! I just cannot choose!!

I also have a bucket list! I want to be able to experience life before I end up settling down. I really wanna do a hot air balloon ride, parachute jump, travel as much of the world as I can, and just be able to live life to the fullest!
